Get Started with PauseBox

PauseBox is a physical barrier for digital distractions. Ready to get started?

Follow these simple steps to set up and use your PauseBox:

1. Download the App

Head to www.getpausebox.com/download and download the PauseBox app.

 

2. Open the App & Grant Permissions

Launch the app and allow access to Screen Time when prompted. This is essential for app blocking to work.

3. Create a Pause Group

A Pause Group is a collection of apps you want to block.

Tap Create Pause Group, select the apps you’d like to pause, and hit Save.

4. Activate Your PauseBox

Tap the large PauseBox button in the app.

Then, hold the top of your phone to the center of the physical PauseBox device.

5. Take a Break

Your selected apps are now blocked. Step away, recharge, and enjoy uninterrupted time.

6. Unpause When You're Ready

When you’re ready to get your apps back:

Open the app, tap the red PauseBox button, and again touch your phone to the PauseBox.

7. Optional: Set Schedules

Want your Pause Groups to start automatically? Head to the Schedules tab to set recurring pause times.
